I don’t know when I first heard of Capri but it always seems to be in the discussion of the finest beach/island resorts. I was expecting a lot and was still awed by how cool Capri is. As part of our weekend in Sorrento we spent a day at Capri and wished we had more time there.
Of course we visited the Blue Grotto which was hard to believe. It’s a cave entered in a small boat through a small hole where inside light reflects off the limestone sea floor lighting up the cave in a magical blue glow. Photos don’t do it justice so check the movie below.
Later we took a chairlift to the top of the island which has great panoramas of the island cliffs and harbors as well as the peninsula of Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. We also worked in a swim and a sketch as well as wild cliff top rides around the island. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip.
