On the kids last day in Italy they joined my class on an outing to Tivoli where we visited Villa d’Este and Villa Gregoriana. This was definitely one of the highlights for them on the trip. Villa d’Este has a 19th century garden filled with a crazy amount of fountains fed by aqueducts routed to the town. Villa Gregoriana has a more natural setting in a deep canyon with some more man-made waterfalls made to look natural as well as grottos and caves. A greta day of hiking and exploration.
